On January 3 1971, Jurong Bird Park was opened on a 20.2 hectare of vast land. As of now, the park hosts birds exceeding 8000 in number from approximately 600 species.
The park is truly enchanting with its myriad bird collection and bright colours. There are amazing bird shows named “Birds n Buddies Show” organized for the visitors. The Aviary of Southeast Asian birds is another mind-blowing sight. Taking a ride in the monorail encompasses an aerial view of the entire park. The penguins parading around are worth watching. The Larry Loft is a marvellous display of the Lory bird. The Riverine showcases freshwater species such ducks, various fishes and turtles. There are many more amazing sights at Jurong Park that are truly worth a watch.
